The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003 (FACTA) added new sections to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq.), intended primarily to help consumers fight the growing crime of identity theft. Accuracy, privacy, limits on information sharing, and new consumer rights to disclosure are included in FACTA. (Pub. L. 108-159, 111 Stat. 1952). These new laws not only affect Banking, Financial and Credit institutions, but effects all employers that process or discuss financial information. Which all companies do in some form or fashion. These new laws put a strain on employers of all types, especially large "Open-Floor" plan informational offices. Employers are now faced with the responsibility to maintain informational privacy for not only their clients and customers, but their employees, guest and themselves. Unknowingly, confidential information can be overheard just about anywhere and at any time. Today's employers need to take precautions and step up their oral privacy to help protect everyone in the company. The Voice Arrest™ system can easily provide protection from casual office conversations by simply masking these common areas: The break room, water fountain area, hallways, outside conference rooms and offices. Mask the whole area to achieve total privacy protection. |
