The
PC-Based CCTV system is the most customizable system. Using special video
capture cards and recording software, this system is capable of providing
the most professional results available in a Surveillance system. The
PC-Based system acts as a Video server and connects to any local area
network (LAN) system in your home of office. This allows any user to
control, view, and/or record from any computer connected to the LAN. This
can also provide remote access through the Internet from any computer or
location in the world. This system also provides High-End security
measures and password management to only allow who you want to access,
view or control the system. |

Users
can be set to View only, to prevent unauthorized changes, or can be set to
full control to allow remote recording or control and movement of PTZ
cameras. Great for larger installations and offices, where more than one
person is needed to monitor the cameras or system. The
PC-Based system is very expandable, allowing several systems to be
connected together making the number of cameras available unlimited. Most
systems are built for 2, 4, 8, or 16 channels. Once a system has it’s
maximum number of cameras installed, another system is required to expand.
However, the PC-Based system can still control all secondary systems from
the same computer. PC-Based systems are also far more faster and able to provide the best FPS (Frames per second) for recording and viewing. To see a better explanation of FPS, please click here. The size of a systems Hard-Drive also determines the amount of video that can be stored and viewed at a later date. For example, A 4-camera system with a 200gb Hard-Drive can store continuous video for up to 4 weeks, where a 16 camera system with a 200gb Hard-drive will only store a few days. |
